Where there is a will,  there is a way...

My name is Rungtawan Tuohy, I am a Thai-Irish ceramic artist with a Bachelors of Ceramics in Expanding Practice degree from the Limerick School of Art & Design. I was adopted from Chiang Mai and raised in Ireland where I grew to appreciate art. Art was always a vital aspect of my life as I found my passion through ceramics in college.

My practice concentrates on sentimental value and personal narratives to share my experience through sculptural mediums. My recent projects are influenced by both daily life and large systemic social issues. The main medium I use is porcelain, utilizing the clean white background as a canvas, I combine a variety of carefully selected colours to create narratives in stamped dialogue – communicating stories through a series of clay objects. The choice of words emphasize the emotion and highlight the project’s purpose, and aim to share the experience of myself, and those with similar experiences.
